Stone Pass Cottage
A stone pass cottage is located at Stone Pass at Komoro city, Nagano prefecture,
Japan. It is situated in 1000m highlands at the foot of Mt. Asama. In Summer,
it is a nice base for trecking and sightseeing of the central highlands
of Japan between Mt Fuji and Japan Alps. In Winter, it is a nice base for
Winter sports like slope skiing and back country skiing. Nagano Olimpic
games were held in Shiga Hights and Hakuba Hights near a cottage in only
1 hour driving distance. There are 7 ski stations near a cottage in less
than half hour driving distance. The visitor can enjoy a variety of skiing
performance and very begininng ski lessons offered by an owner of cottage.
He attended a national winter sports championship by a giant slalom. He
is a skillful alpinist in 3000m peaks in Japan Alps and 4000m peaks in
European Alps too.
